Fun Treat!

Bakerella, one of my favorite cooking blogs, has the cutest idea for kids in the kitchen! Most of her recipes seem a little difficult if you aren't experienced in fondant, chocolate, etc.... But, if you have kids, and allow them to come into your kitchen to cook, you are gonna love this! :)

Make chocolate "cups" by molding chocolate on the end of a balloon. Fill the hardened chocolate cups with whatever you want -- icecream or pudding (Bakerella has a great pudding recipe) -- or even a healthy alternative, fresh FRUIT! Strawberries & whipped cream would be great in a chocolate shell for Valentine's Day I think! Or, bananas and peanut butter in chocolate. The possiblities are endless!

You can find the pudding recipe, and the instructions for making these cute cups by going to Bakerella's site.

Let me know what YOU think would be a good combination! :)

Divine!!

You should really try The Pioneer Woman's recipes! That woman has got it going on! I baked this "Dump Cake" (which is the easiest thing ever) for some friends that are coming over and it was divine!!! Heavenly. Served it up with some vanilla ice cream. Every recipe of Ree's (The Pioneer Woman) has turned out great for me....and I am NOT the best cook. Her chicken spaghetti is now one of the staples that I cook at home a lot.
Hope you will visit her site at www.thepioneerwoman.com

What to cook...that is the question.

I hate to cook. I would eat OUT everynight if I could. Nothing is better than having someone wait on me, and wash dishes afterwards. But that can get so expensive! I have great meal ideas in my head, but I am always missing ingredients. Or, it JUST doesn't come out right. So, I am thinking of buying the E-mealz plan. It is only $5 a month, you can have recipes for each night of the week, and shopping lists to take to Wal-mart! Sounds like a great idea to me. Has anyone tried this? Let me know what you think!

Yummy!

This week I have several Christmas parties to go to. And yes, I have to make something for each one. This morning, I noticed that my FAVORITE fonts website (Kevin & Amanda) had a new recipe posted. It looks ...to die for...

So, here is the picture.

And here is the recipe: http://picky-palate.com/2009/09/24/the-mother-load-layered-cookie-bars/

Picky Palate is now another one of my favorite blogs. Boy! Do they have some awesome recipes!

Please let me know if you make this. Looks great, but a little time consuming. I wonder if it would make up with already prepared cookie dough? I'm gonna try it!!! :)
