Best (low priced) Facial Regimen (for me)!

I have found the best facial regimen for me.  Just wanted to share for those of you who are looking for awesome (low priced!) products.  I have noticed a big difference in my complexion using these products.

Morning Routine:

  • First, every morning after washing my face (I only use water).  I apply this Vitamin C Serum on my face.  I honestly like this Ole Henriksen Truth Serum a little better, but not "$20+ better", so I stick with the cheaper version.  I use the Vitamin C Serum because the Sephora lady recommended it for old acne scars on my chin.  I have noticed that they get lighter when using the serum, and the texture of my face is just different.
  • After the serum, I apply a moisturizer (only when I feel dry).  I am bad about not moisturizing, but my face is a little oily, so I don't really need it.
  • Then, I apply makeup.  I will post about my makeup choices another time! :)

Night Routine:

  • At night, I take off my makeup in the bath/shower with Cetaphil Demacontrol Foam Wash. This was recommended to a friend by a dermatologist.  It is very mild, and I really like it.  It lasts a long time - I use 3 pumps each night, and the bottle has lasted months!!
  • This Ole Henriksen Night Gel is a little pricey, but it is awesome if you can afford to purchase it.  A little goes a long way, too!
  • Then, I apply Un-Petroleum Jelly  RIGHT before bed.  This jelly is really thick (think Vaseline), and is gross. It stinks, BUT it is fabulous.  Your skin will be so soft in the morning!!!  Put it on fairly thick, and your face doesn't have a chance to wrinkle.  Thanks to Kandee Johnson for this suggestion!  I really should use this stuff more, but I don't do it as much as I should, I guess because it is so stinky.  It's worth it if you want Kandee skin though! ;)

Weekly/Monthly ("Whenever your Remember") Routine:
  • My sister bought me some Rodan and Fields Micro-Dermabrasion Paste several years ago, and I have only used about 1/3 of the container.  It is a gritty paste that you massage into your skin and since off.  It leaves your skin very clean and smooth.  It lasts such a long time and it really is wonderful.  I didn't buy it, so I'm not sure how much she paid, but it is very expensive on Amazon.
If you are tired of paying a lot of skincare, I hope these product suggestions help! :)
